Pat

Jaimen, what's going on with Whipple City?

Jaimen

Not too much. I've got the finalized layout for it and all that kind of stuff that I need to drop pretty soon. Players pack items are coming in. We got some awesome stuff. We recently got in some helicopter pad pins that we're really excited about. Those are going to be going in the players pack. And we've got some fundraising discs coming up soon. So, I believe it's going to be the cow stamp from last year. That's kind of going to be the tournament logo year to year to year. but it's going to be mini stamps of it.

Brett

Love a mini stamp, good call. Can I just also say how cool it is that MPO is getting those, Trump bags, whatever you call them.

Jaimen

The trainers.

Brett

Yeah.

Jaimen

Very exciting that Upper Parks was able to help us out with those. I think that's one of the coolest player pack items I've seen. It's something that I think that everybody can immediately use and everybody could even use more of.

Brett

No. Oh Yeah, and MPO gets a players back. How cool.

Jaimen

Yep. Very excited about that.

Brett

Yeah, that's awesome.

Jasan

Right now we're less than two weeks away from Mine Kill AM side. By the time you listen to this, who knows it could be a week from tomorrow, or it could be tomorrow.

New Speaker

Or both.

Jasan

But there's been a lot of movement on both wait-lists. I think the last week I've had double digit movement. So, we're down to three people on the wait list for AM side and four spots open for Pro. So, if you're interested in playing either weekends, sign up good chance to be able to get in. Lot of exciting, stuff's going to be unveiled soon. I'm just working out some final details. I have the player's guide, 95% done. I'm just waiting on a couple of things that are pretty crucial for venues and stuff. But it's gonna be a good time hope to see everybody there and, um, get your picks in.

Ryan

Ooh.

Brett

Yeah, I think I've dropped out of the picks almost entirely, now. There's no going back.

Ryan

No, no, it's not true because you can get a thousand points like in a week.

Brett

It's not too late?

Ryan

Not too late.

Brett

It Feels too late.

Jasan

A lot of golf left.

Jaimen

Yeah. I've had like mini panic attacks last two Fridays thinking ah, shit I missed my picks, but. I knew that they weren't there, but like then the Masters Cup comes up. I'm like, how can that not be a pick?

Ryan

I know.

Brett

Silver Series.

Jaimen

Crazy.

Ryan

Yeah. Gannon Buhr won his first Silver Series.

Jaimen

Ooh.

Ryan

Fair Disc Golf. Yay.

Jaimen

Did you see the Anthon stuff?

Brett

Yeah, that was weird.

Ryan

Are we going to cover that?

Jaimen

I don't know, maybe we should save that for some Monday where nobody has to work on Tuesday.

Ryan

Do that.

Jaimen

Okay.

Kenji

What's the Reader's Digest version? I saw it just a little inkling.

Jaimen

He was put on the feature card and then one of the higher up organizations, I don't remember which one, changed that.

Kenji

Uh,

Ryan

Oh, this guy's like a murderer and a white supremacist so maybe we should like, not feature him on coverage. And it's like, well, that's fair. I,

Jasan

Yeah.

Ryan

I don't know, it is what it is.

Brett

Yeah. I think he won a lead in tournament for that. Something that was there a couple of weeks prior, which is why he was going to be featured.

Jaimen

Oh, I just figured it's because he's the Cali kid.

Brett

That's true. Yeah.

Ryan

Yeah.

Brett

Sounds a lot like Florida man, but

Ryan

I don't know the full story. I'm just

Pat

Yeah.

Jasan

He still sponsored by Innova?

Brett

No! No.

Jasan

No.

Brett

No, No!

Jasan

I was all right, you say.

Ryan

All right. We're definitely gonna have to cut this

Pat

All right. Quiz time got five. So, just straight up five or a

Brett

I need teammate,

Jasan

What's the categories?

Ryan

Bail me out.

Brett

Me out.

Pat

Categories we got: This Week in History, Socks.

Brett

Kenji is going to pass that one.

Pat

And Movie Title Mashup.

Kenji

Can we do like Wolf?

Ryan

Or three on two, if we really want to help Brett out.

Brett

I could probably use all the help I can get in this.

Ryan

I'd be on the two.

Jasan

Yes. It, depending on how the thing is that might not be any help.

Jaimen

Right. I was going to say, Jason and I are basically one person.

Ryan

Right Me and Kenji versus you three would actually be pretty, fair.

Brett

I'm down with that.

Pat

I was thinking more Ryan and Brett.

Ryan

Oh, Ryan and Brett, I like that.

Pat

And Kenji, Jason and Jaimen.

Kenji

Sure.

Jaimen

I like how it ryan's turning any situation into an ego stroke,

Ryan

Give me the odds, but stack the odds against me.

Pat

Yeah. All right. So let me write that down real.

Jaimen

Smart people.

Ryan

Useless knowledge. there's a difference.

Jaimen

Well, we all have useless knowledge. Yours is just readily available.

Pat

All right, because you are 2, you get to go first. What category would you like?

Kenji

What do we got? This day in history and what was?

Pat

Uh, This Week in History,

Kenji

This Week in History.

Pat

Movie Title, Mashup

Kenji

All right.

Pat

And Socks.

Ryan

I don't know, Brett, what are you, feeling?

Brett

I don't feel good about any of them.

Ryan

Are you like a slipper kind of guy? Not a big Sock guy?

Brett

No, I definitely wear them. I just don't know how much I know about them. Let's do socks then that seems like the right one. Yeah.

Ryan

Yeah.

Pat

All right. Question one. What, what City's team, the Braves stop wearing red socks in 1907. So the city's other major league team adopted the name? What city's team, the Braves stopped wearing red socks in 1907, so the cities other major league team adopted the name?

Ryan

Is there another Braves or is it the Atlanta Braves?

Brett

City. He's looking for the city right?

Pat

What city's team, the Braves, stopped wearing red socks in 1907, so the cities other major league team adopted the name?

Ryan

Where the Atlanta Braves around and...

Brett

Gotta be Atlanta.

Ryan

All right, Atlanta, it is.

Pat

K and the Jaimen?

Kenji

It's a Boston Red sox.

Jaimen

It's gotta be Boston.

Brett

Oh, we had a backward.

Pat

Final Answer?

Kenji

Yes.

Ryan

Jesus Christ.

Kenji

The Boston Red Sox came, right?

Ryan

Uh, I'm from Massachusetts too.

Pat

You guys good with that?

Jaimen

I agree.

Brett

Oh my God.

Ryan

I should have thought of it. That one a little bit longer.

Pat

Braves were in Boston, then Milwaukee and then Atlanta.

Brett

Really.

Ryan

Yeah, I should've read into that question more.

Pat

That's okay. Question two, this is for K and the Jaimen, what, What, What, category? I'm sorry. I got ahead of myself. What category gentleman's?

Jaimen

Socks?

Kenji

Um,

Pat

Socks.

Ryan

More socks.

Jasan

Guys are both good at.

Pat

Okay.

Kenji

Lucky on that sock question?

Pat

All right, published in 1965, what popular Dr. Seuss work includes the line Knox in box? Published in 1965, what popular yeah. Dr. Seuss work includes the line knocks in box?

Kenji

Is that the name of the book Fox in Socks?

Jaimen

That doesn't sound familiar to me,

Kenji

I think that's the name of the book Fox in Socks.

Jaimen

Sounds good.

Pat

Jason?

Jasan

Sure.

Pat

You are correct.

Kenji

Right.

Jasan

Good job Kenji.

Kenji

Come on Jasan, you got the young kids. You don't read them Fox in Socks Dr. Seuss?

Ryan

Also Massachusetts native. Dr. Seuss. What was the not movie titles one was the other one?

Pat

Ryan

Was the date again?

Pat

1885.

Ryan

1885 women's magazine. I mean, that's kind of unfair. I mean, there's like Glamour and Vanity Fair.

Brett

What about like Vogue is Vogue. Does that count?

Ryan

I like Vogue folks. Probably good guess.

Brett

It's probably not, too recent. It feels like, I dunno.

Ryan

Yeah, one more time, Pat.

Pat

Best known for their Seal of Approval, the first issue of what women's magazine was introduced in May, 1885?

Brett

Seal of Approval. I have nothing but a guess.

Ryan

I don't know. What's your, what's your best guess?

Pat

10 seconds.

Ryan

Vogue.

Brett

That's like all I can come up with

Ryan

Vogue it is.

Pat

K and the J-men?

Ryan

Oh, geez.

Jasan

So, what would some of the other ones they said?

Kenji

Housekeeping.

Jasan

Oh, that's yeah.

Brett

Oh.

Jasan

Yeah. Jaimen you go with that? That.

Pat

That's three points.

Brett

A woman's magazine.

Ryan

That's that's so just, I don't know.

Jasan

So 1885.

Pat

All right, Kay and the J-Men, what category? You're up 3-0.

Kenji

Do the song title.

Pat

The Movie Title title Mashup.

Jasan

Yeah.

Pat

What I'm going to do is I'm going to give you a synopsis of a movie.

Kenji

Okay.

Pat

And it's actually a synopsis of two movies. So you got to give me the name of the two movies?

Kenji

Gotcha.

Pat

So, question one. A year after running over a fishermen and dumping his body in the water, four friends, reconvening class with teacher Freddie Shoop, who is ready for his summer off in Hawaii, looking for his missing fishermen friend. Unfortunately, he is forced to either teach English or risk losing his tenure. A year after running over a fishermen and dumping his body in the water 4 friends, reconvening class, with teacher Freddy Shoop. He is ready for his summer off in Hawaii looking for his missing fishermen friend, unfortunately is forced to either teach English or risk losing his tenure.

Jaimen

I feel like I know the first half.

Kenji

I know it. I know you ready, I Know What you Did Last Summer School.

Jaimen

Okay.

Pat

Jason.

Jaimen

The first half that I got.

Jasan

Yeah, I'm going to defer to.

Kenji

Doing last summer. And this is Summer School. Mr. Shoop.

Jaimen

I've never even heard of that movie.

Kenji

I'm old.

Ryan

This whole category, we're doomed.

Brett

it's not about the most recent Batman, I got nothing.

Ryan

Kenji, did you work blockbuster in 1986?

Kenji

87 I was 13.

Ryan

That's when you watch all the movies.

Pat

So, RB what do you got? What category would you like?

Ryan

New category.

Brett

Yeah. Let's try the movie one. Let's try it.

Pat

Phoenix secretary Marion Crane, on the lamb after stealing$40,000 from her employer in order to run away with her boyfriend, Sam Loomis, is overcome by exhaustion during a heavy rainstorm. Traveling on the back roads to avoid the police, she stops for the night at the ramshackle Bates Motel and meets the polite, but highly strung proprietor, Patrick Bateman. A handsome young, urban professional with an interest in taxidermy and a difficult relationship with his mother. Ryan

So it's, it's almost like, I mean, it's Psycho and American Psycho, but is it, so is that like the answer American Psycho?

Brett

American Psycho Psycho?

Ryan

Right?

Pat

What do you think? I mean, we'll take it. We'll take either one. I just,

Ryan

Are they, are they both fine?

Pat

Yeah.

Brett

Okay. It absorbed the other one.

Pat

Yeah, exactly.

Ryan

Right. I'm like Patrick Bateman, the Bates hotel,

Pat

K in the J-Men, what category?

Ryan

By the way, I managed to watch Psycho, like for the first time, maybe 8 months ago without any spoilers. So like when he was, he like came in with like, I mean, it's like dressed. It is.

Kenji

Psycho in like 30.

Ryan

We printed out like the, I dunno, a hundred best movies and I've just been kind of going through them one by one. So, we saw a Psycho and I had never seen it before. It was fascinating. I didn't expect it, why I kind of expected the twist, but, it's pretty funny what had happened. Didn't age well.

Pat

They remade it too.

Ryan

Did they?

Pat

Vince Vaughn,

Ryan

No way, really?

Pat

I kid you not.

Ryan

Wow, I liked a Rear Window better. was really good.

Pat

Category, Kenji and Kenji and the J man, I'm sorry.

Jaimen

You're right.

Jasan

You guys want to do the hat and go with This Week in History?

Jaimen

Sure.

Pat

This Week in History, what future restaurant franchise did brothers Richard and Maurice opened their first of in San Bernardino, California May 15th, 1940 what future restaurant franchise did brothers Richard and Maurice opened their first of in San Bernardino, California May 15th, 1940?

Brett

Yeah.

Kenji

McDonald's they sold it to Koch who, who up.

Jaimen

It could very well be.

Jasan

I was thinking, McDonald's the only thing that threw him off. future, am I overthink?

Kenji

I think it's McDonald's if you.

Jaimen

Yeah.

Kenji

Let's go with Tom.

Jaimen

Off as a standalone restaurant.

Jasan

Let's go with McDonald's.

Jaimen

Sounds good.

Ryan

Dammit.

Pat

You are correct?

Ryan

If you come down the hill from South Mountain in Bethlehem, there's a McDonald's in Bethlehem that has a single arch that still has like a hundred million hamburgers sold. It's crazy. It's like, we're going to

Pat

It's prolly means just at that location. Now.

Brett

Put it in a museum.

Pat

What category you want guys want R and B?

Ryan

You know, Wanna try Socks, again?

Brett

Yeah, Let's do Socks.

Ryan

Let's do it.

Pat

Question three. Original Rockford Redhill socks come with instructions on making what animals, around since the 1900's? Original Rockford red heel socks come with instructions on making what animals, around since the 1900's?

Ryan

Sock Puppets?

Brett

Is that an animal?

Ryan

Can be, it can be anything you want it to be.

Pat

Can you be more specific?

Ryan

A dog probably.

Brett

Ooh.

Ryan

If you're making a sock puppet, you're totally like doing a bark bark bark. Right?

Brett

Yeah, I guess that's what I don't do that though. I don't make sock puppets. It's gotta be it, though.

Ryan

You can, be honest here, Brett,

Brett

I don't know, my head went to giraffe. It's not a giraffe. It was never a giraffe.

Ryan

Can you give us your best giraffe noise?

Brett

No.

Ryan

going to say sock puppet dog. What do you think?

Brett

Yeah. We have to say that. It's not a giraffe.

Pat

K and the J-Men?

Kenji

I woulda guessed dog too. Maybe snake that's.

Pat

Final Answer? Jasan, you good with that. They said it at the same time. that's you know,

Ryan

good. All right. You just gave it to him. Okay. Damn it.

Pat

I, I was just asking the question cause that's not the right answer, so.

Ryan

God.

Kenji

What was it? Dinosaur?

Ryan

A Monkey.

Pat

Sock Monkeys.

Kenji

Uh, Sock Monkey theory. I can't remember this being.

Pat

All No right, K and the J-Men. What category? You're up 5-1.

Kenji

Cause like the color of the toe makes the mouth that looks like a monkey's mouth, right?

Pat

Yeah. If you look at the way they, color sock, it, It kind of gives you the headstart for making the monkey, the red heel and other parts. Kenji?

Kenji

Oh, it's our pick? What...

Pat

yeah.

Kenji

...Round Robin? Back to the beginning of what was the socks go socks again.

Jaimen

Socks.

Jasan

So,

Pat

What color are the Rock'em Sock.'em Robots. What colors are the Rock'em Sock.'em Robots?

Jaimen

Ah, Blue and Yeah. Read the Blue.

Kenji

And the ring...

Brett

This question.

Kenji

...was yellow, right?

Jaimen

And the what?.

Kenji

The ring is yellow.

Jaimen

Oh

Pat

You good with Red and Blue?

Jasan

Extra credit.

Pat

You are correct.

Kenji

Yeah. I remember, you know what? It's all Rock'em Sock'em Robots last night because my wife was watching Sweet Home, Alabama come soccer robots at the end and put it on the wedding.

Pat

R and B what you got?

Brett

Why not.

Ryan

Sure.

Pat

All right, Jimmy Stewart meets an angel and a Monty Python member is mistaken for the Messiah. Jimmy Stewart meets an angel and a Monty Python member is mistaken for the Messiah.

Ryan

You're going to have to give that to me one more time. Jimmy Stewart, is he the comedian?

Pat

Jimmy Stewart meets an angel and a Monty Python member is mistaken for the Messiah.

Brett

I have no clue.

Ryan

Oh, it says Life of Brian. Oh, It's a Wonderful Life of Brian.

Pat

You guys agree?

Ryan

Yes.

Brett

Yeah, just say yeah.

Pat

All right.

Kenji

Good

Jaimen

one.

Pat

All right, K and the J-Men, what you got?

Kenji

History,

Jaimen

Next up.

Kenji

Movies.

Pat

Movies?

Kenji

Yup.

Pat

This sequel focuses on ex police officer Brian O'Connor who relocates from Los Angeles to Miami to start over. Becoming involved in the street racing scene in his new city, Brian befriends Sydney, Prescott and Tabloid reporter Gail Weathers. This sequal focuses on ex police officer Ryan O'Connor relocates from Los Angeles to Miami to start over. Becoming involved in a street racing scene in this new city, Brian befriends, Sydney, Prescott and tabloid reporter Gail Weathers. But his competitive streak ends, when two college students are murdered at a sneak preview of Stab, a movie based on the events from the first film do Sidney, Gail and Brian have the drive to find out who is behind the new murder spree before they all end up dead. What do we think?

Jaimen

What's the second. Yeah. Fast and the Furious. I don't know. The second one.

Jasan

Thinking Fast, Furious and Screamed. But how does that get mashed up?

Kenji

Yeah, that's what I don't get. Fast and Furious 2, right? Is it 2?

Jaimen

Scream.

Kenji

I don't know the exact title of the second mover is that the third movie is the second movie. The Tokyo Drift. Now, I don't know. I don't know the order well enough. Fast and Furious Scream, Scream 2 Scream 2 and Fast and Furious 2. I don't know how you mash those.

Jaimen

All the other questions, the movies have been presented the same way the titles are in the mashup. Does that make sense?

Kenji

Fast and Furious Scream 2. Pat, help us out with it. We do it. We

Pat

Got about 10 seconds.

Jaimen

Fast Scream.

Kenji

Furious Scream 2 Fast and Furious 2 Scream 2.

Pat

Final answer.

Kenji

too. Fast and Furious 2 Scream 2.

Pat

Do you have a guess RB?

Brett

I think I understand that.

Ryan

Yeah. What are you thinking?

Brett

I think it Scream 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Ryan

That's exactly what I was thinking,

Brett

Cause that's the only way they mash up is to

Ryan

Right?

Brett

Overlap the two.

Ryan

Yep. I like it.

Pat

Answer?

Ryan

Yup.

Pat

Scream two and then two Fast, two Furious.

Ryan

Yeah. Way to go.

Pat

Fast,

Kenji

It's called 2 Fast 2 Furious?

Pat

Yeah,

Kenji

I know they tweaked the names.

Ryan

Furious

Kenji

I didn't know exactly what. Cause they're not called Fast and Furious 2 there. Yeah.

Ryan

2 Fast 2 Furious. love it when it finally comes all around, it's just like Fast and Furious again, like 20 years later. Just like The Batman.

Pat

Yeah,

Brett

Yeah.

Kenji

We got that in concept.

Ryan

Yeah, sure did. So did we for the record.

Brett

That's the only one that's made sense to me.

Ryan

History?

Brett

Yeah, History.

Ryan

Let's do History.

Pat

May 8th was VE day. What does V-E stand for? May 8th was VE day. What does V-E stand for?

Ryan

That's victory in Europe day. So the end of the war.

Pat

You guys agree?

Brett

Sure.

Pat

You are correct.

Ryan

Nice.

Brett

Wow, thanks.

Ryan

Yup, that easy.

Pat

All right. now I got 6-4. Is that right, Jason?

Jasan

Yup.

Pat

Getting close there, but a couple more rounds.

Kenji

We're back to a Week in History, right?

Jaimen

Yup.

Jasan

Yeah,

Ryan

Yeah, give us a steal.

Pat

What man was appointed as the first head of the FBI on May 10th, 1924, a post he held until his death in 1972? What man was appointed as the first head of the FBI on May 10th, 1924, a post he held until his death in 1972?

Jaimen

I feel like I watched something on the FBI recently. Remember when I said available knowledge.

Kenji

I don't know this.

Ryan

There's a movie, but it was made after 1980 Kenji, sorry.

Pat

Do you guys have a final answer?

Jaimen

No, I don't, I can't think of a single name.

Jasan

So, if he ended in the seventies, who was, he? Hadn't been pretty old because he started in 20. So think 50 sixties, FBI that's before all our time.

Jaimen

What, year did you start? 29.

Pat

May 10th, 1924. He was appointed and his death was in 1972.

Jasan

Oh, his death was in 72.

Jaimen

Is that when he left the post.

Pat

He held it until his death in 72. Yeah.

Jaimen

Okay, then yeah, none of my guesses would be good.

Jasan

So he's FBI during Kennedy's.

Ryan

You can still say, your guesses, Jaimen.

Jaimen

Um, was it Ryan Nelson?

Pat

got about 10 seconds?

Kenji

No, I don't know.

Ryan

98 years old.

Kenji

I think they know him, but

Ryan

I just say that. So you'll spew out the names.

Jaimen

Yeah.

Pat

All right. RB, what do you get?

Ryan

I assume it's J Edgar.

Brett

Say it's one of the Presidents, right?

Ryan

Think it's Hoover.

Kenji

Hoover.

Pat

You gotta give this whole name.

Ryan

Was the movie J Edgar.

Pat

Yeah. that's not the president Hoover that's Herbert Hoover.

Brett

Okay. Yup.

Jasan

Um,

Kenji

That's what got me off of that, you know? Cause I'm like it's.

Jaimen

Right.

Kenji

Familiar, but I thought it was president, so it wouldn't have had it that whole time. It was wrong.

Jaimen

Gangs of New York. Is that it?

Kenji

I'm like, I know it's not a president.

Ryan

J Edgar.

Jaimen

Oh, No, I watched the one on Dillinger.

Kenji

I never saw that

Pat

The Most Wanted?

Jaimen

I watched Most Wanted and that's where it mentioned it.

Ryan

Yeah, Gangs of New York about the five points in New York. like a bunch of gangs.

Pat

Hm, RB. You guys are down one point and you get to the next question.

Ryan

Sweet, your choice, Brett.

Brett

I was going to say. What's feeling good to you? Let's do socks. I was thinking socks. too. It's fun.

Pat

Originally green and white, what socks worn by the Campbell clan were named for a county in West Scotland? Originally green and white, what socks worn by the Campbell clan were named for a county in West Scotland?

Brett

Can you say that again?

Ryan

Rugby.

Pat

Originally green and white, socks, worn by the Campbell clan, were named for a a county west Scotland?

Brett

You're thinking Rugby,

Ryan

Brooke Claudie.

Brett

You know, the answer, sorry.

Ryan

I don't know the answer. I'm just naming, Scottish Whiskies at this point.

Jaimen

Yeah.

Ryan

I heard the Berg, Aila, or rugby socks thing. I, one more time, Pat and then we'll give up.

Pat

Originally green and white, what socks worn by the Campbell clan were named for a county in west Scotland?

Ryan

What socks, kind of socks? Argyle must be Argyle.

Brett

Oh, that sounds like a county.

Ryan

Yep. It sounds Scottish too. Let's do it.

Brett

I love that. Well,

Pat

It's all tied up, but, the and the Jaimen they're, one behind, as far as question totals. K and J men, what category? I think we're going to go around one more time after this.

Jaimen

Okay, which one do we feel the most confident in? We've struck out on the last three of them.

Kenji

Yeah, We knew the movie one, huh?

Jasan

I feel like Kenji is a pretty good asset for the movie.

Jaimen

Yeah.

Kenji

Let's go with the movie one.

Pat

Movie's Okay. The president's plane is hijacked by terrorists and taken to a mental institution run by Nurse Ratched. The president's plane is hijacked by terrorists and taken to a mental institution run by nurse Ratched. What do you got?

Kenji

So, it's Air Force One flight over the Cuckoo's nest. Is a flight. No, that's not the right word. It's it's

Jaimen

Flew.

Kenji

One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. So, Air Force One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Pat

Jaimen and Jason agree?

Jaimen

Well now I'm nervous. Yeah.

Kenji

Yeah.

Pat

You are correct.

Jasan

Good job.

Pat

Final question for each. The K-Men are up by one.

Ryan

Oh, that damn Red Sox question that put us in the hole here, Brett. I'm sorry.

Pat

RB, what category?

Kenji

How How do you miss The one sports question?

Ryan

I know. Well, I only know hockey.

Kenji

More than Me, Jason Jaimen combined.

Ryan

Your choice, Brett?

Brett

No, it'd be wrong for me to not leave it up to you.

Ryan

I'll go. See, the last couple of movies has been pretty easy and Kenji loves the movies. So let's, do movies and try to steal it out from under him.

Brett

Okay.

Pat

You want the movie category?

Ryan

Yeah.

Brett

That's fun.

Pat

All right. A film that explores the dark and miserable town Basin City and tells a story of three different people all caught up in violent corruption. One of them is an unhappy Manhattan yuppie on the verge of turning 40, who is roped into joining his two friends on a cattle drive in the Southwest. One of them is an unhappy, Manhattan yuppie on the verge of turning 40, who is roped into joining his two friends on a cattle drive in the Southwest.

Ryan

Talking about noir Sin City Slickers, right?

Brett

Wow. I knew Sin City, I didn't know the other part, so. Sure.

Pat

All right. It's all tied up. One question to go. What do you got K and the J-Men?

Kenji

Do we stick with the movies? I knew that one.

Ryan

I hope you're out of movie questions.

Pat

I have one more.

Jasan

Yeah, let's do the movies. I knew the last one too, so I'm feeling pretty good.

Pat

I actually have more than one. I just

Ryan

This children's movie about dogs.

Pat

Carl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator. Carl Childer's a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator.

Kenji

Oh boy.

Jasan

Kenji.

Jaimen

Yeah. I don't know either of these.

Brett

Yeah.

Kenji

Yeah, this one's tough.

Ryan

But is it?

Jaimen

It's tough Ryan.

Kenji

Kid kill their parents.

Pat

Carl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator.

Kenji

Oh, okay. So, Carl Childers is, um, Billy Bob Thornton movie. What in the movie kind of talks like this with ALS name.

Brett

Maybe, if you keep doing the voice, it'll come back to you.

Jasan

Uh,

Jaimen

What else happens in this movie?

Kenji

He fixes lawnmowers.

Jaimen

oh, geez. That one. I forgot about the lawnmower fixing.

Kenji

He's got the sickle.

Jasan

What, uh, era is this?

Kenji

This is like, I don't know, late nineties, early 2000. What's the second half of it, Pat?

Pat

After his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator.

Kenji

I need to know them.

Pat

To give you about 15 seconds.

Kenji

I don't know. I can't come up. I need the first half to get to the second half. I don't, I'm not ringing a bell on any Replicants. Okay.

Pat

Jason, Jaimen and he guesses

Jaimen

No.

Pat

Right.

Kenji

They help you out, Ryan?. Do you know who we're talking about?

Ryan

Yeah. I mean, the only reason I figured it out was because of the second and then I kind of inferred what the one was and that Billy Bob thing helped. actually, can you say it one more time? So I wanna make sure it's not the other movie

Pat

Carl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he, he must be, he must pursue and try to terminate for replicants, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. What was that?

Ryan

Oh, so I just don't know if it's the new Blade Runner or the last or the old Blade Runner. I'm assuming it's Sling Blade Runner?

Kenji

Good job.

Pat

You guys both agree.

Ryan

Yeah, I don't, I mean, for my, I don't think it's going to be the Ryan Gosling one. It's probably the original.

Pat

You are correct. Sling Blade Runner.

Kenji

That's what the name of that damn movie was.

Ryan

Honestly, I got blade runner immediately. And then when you started doing the voice and stuff, this is.

Pat

I only got a couple left. Here's one just for the group. Two icons face off in the supernatural movie, one, a disfigured serial killer who attacks his victims in their dreams. The other career force for Constance Marine Captain, Foreign Service Officer and a specialist in Far Eastern affairs.

Ryan

Nightmare on Elm street, wall street. say it again.

Pat

Two icons face off in this supernatural movie, one, a disfigured serial killer who had taxes, victims, and their dreams, the other, a Career Force Reconnaissance Marine Captain, Foreign Service Officer, and a specialist in Far Eastern affairs.

Ryan

Yeah Freddy.

Kenji

On and I was straight.

Ryan

Probably Freddy versus Jason something.

Kenji

Friday verse Jason.

Ryan

Jason Bourne there yeah.

Pat

Freddie vs. Jason Bourne. Yep. A newly paroled ex-con and former Us Ranger finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the passenger seize control. Surely this man with a fear of flying can land safely after the pilots become sick. Anybody?

Kenji

Connie air something airplane.

Pat

Paroled ex-con and former us Ranger finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the...

Kenji

Con Airplane?

Pat

Surely. Yep.

Ryan

Yup.

Pat

Wanted to add plane to the end of that movie because it's just there, there you go. Congratulations to R and B with, as a solid comeback fellas.

Kenji

Um,

Ryan

Off pretty, pretty poorly.

Brett

These are so hard. This is impossible.

Pat

I'm sorry.

Jaimen

Yeah. I need to go watch some more movies.

Brett

Yeah. There's times I'm listening, I'm like how don't they know that one? It's like, I actually know it. I don't think I knew anything tonight. is impossible. Credit to you guys. Geez. not a

Pat

Uh, no, no, no. I get ya.

Brett

Impressive. Just what I'm getting at. You guys.

Ryan

Or just have too much time on our hands one or the other.

Pat

Well, thanks for coming on, Brett.

Brett

Yeah, thanks for having me. This was really cool. I mean, this podcast is amazing. so you. it really is.

Kenji

Glad you enjoy it.

Brett

The product's really good listen every week, so it's cool to be on.

Kenji

Dave Hudson won, uh, spring fling was that right? And this was where this Channel of the Pines. What was the event yesterday? Beyond the Pines, Beyond the Pines. So, I was watching the lead card, and the second place player laid up on 17th instead of running it. I was really surprised. He was a stroke behind. I have no idea why he laid up there. I'm like, I would've figured he had to run it. He wasn't that far.

Brett

And Dave made it right.

Kenji

I mean, it was a death putt. it was, um, Brad somebody.

Brett

Brad Schott. But Dave Hudson made the birdie there, right?

Kenji

I would think if you to try and win, you have to run that putt. And then he laid it up. I was really surprised. I was talking with Jason Versace. I was like, why didn't he lay that up? Didn't quite understand the mindset.

Brett

Did he go before or after Dave Hudson on?

Kenji

He went before. Dave was closer and he was like probably 50 feet out, short and he didn't run the downhill putt. He laid it up. I think he had a stroke on third place. I'm like, I don't know why.

Jaimen

Yeah. But if you run that putt and you air ball, it you're of a sudden you're going to be two strokes behind.

Kenji

I know, but I mean, if you're playing a win, I think you're forced to do that.

Jaimen

Yeah. But if you're playing to win is a big.

Kenji

Right. Yeah. Well, when you're one stroke behind with one hole ago.

Pat

Well, who was behind him?

Kenji

I think Corey Cook.

Pat

I mean, where they close, was third place close to 2nd?

Kenji

It was a stroke. Yeah. I mean,

Pat

Yeah. I mean, so you're also trying to maintain yours. Maybe you're hoping the other guy, you know.

Jaimen

Right. I wouldn't infer that he was trying to win. And also kudos to him for knowing his strengths and playing his own game.

Pat

Hmm.

Brett

It's one of those things where if.

Kenji

It was a mistake.

Brett

if it works, you look like a genius.

Kenji

he got second, so I guess it worked, but I would've ran it. It wasn't that far. I mean, yes, it was a death putt, but yeah. We all know Central Park Hole 17. He came up, you know, probably 10 feet outside the circle, looking down the hill at the basket.

Jaimen

Yeah.

Jasan

10 feet outside the circle.

Brett

That's a scary.

Jasan

That's a really scary.

Jaimen

Yeah, I would have done the exact same thing he does.

Kenji

Taking second and you've accepted the last name. That's what I thought he was doing.

Jaimen

Yeah. Or just live to play another hole. If he's one stroke behind, I don't know.

Pat

With one hole to go.

Jaimen

A lot of stuff can happen on one hole.

Kenji

Then he's going to be two strokes because he's laying up for his par the guy who's one stroke ahead of him.

Jaimen

Yeah, is closer. He's still probably got a death putt too.

Kenji

Yeah, Corey went a little past, he had to up so he.

Jaimen

It's very easy to say like, oh, he should have done this, but like,

Kenji

I didn't say anything besides just whispers to Jason and I were watching.

Brett

Nice about it though is it was an active golfing decision, you know, it's so easy just to land on the aggressive button.

Kenji

Right, right.

Jaimen

Yeah, yeah.

Pat

So, one question I have is why doesn't the NFL do a full quarter like the NHL does? That makes total sense in the playoffs for overtime? Do one of those. And then if you want to the second one, if you want to have some hokey rules about it, but they should really just play it out. Play another quarter. I don't know.

Brett

Oh my

Ryan

I agree. I agree completely. Oh man, there's nothing better than golden goal, baby Game Seven overtime. That's where it's at injected right into my veins.

Kenji

Did it turn out good for you? I was listening to the show last week.

Ryan

Oh, yeah.

Pat

Not last week, but.

Ryan

The most depressing, Yeah, they went 3-0 to close out the series. And every game they trailed from the beginning of the game too. So, you could imagine that I'm still like high on adrenaline from Sunday night. Yeah, thank goodness we weren't recording Sunday night. I might've had like a, manic episode. It was so exciting.

Pat

When's the next series start?

Ryan

Wednesday, Wednesday they play Carolina.

Pat

That's actually good. They need the rest.

Ryan

For sure. Yes. I need the rest, Pat. Yeah, it should be interesting. I mean, there was five Game Seven's this weekend, which is just crazy. And two of them went overtime, including the Rangers in the Penguins. This is the content that Brett comes for Hockey Right? Hockey talk.

Brett

Um, I'm an Islanders fan. So

Ryan

Well, I mean, I don't even know what you guys are up to firing one of the best Head Coaches in the game.

Brett

Yeah, I'm not really, they're the games I watch. I got a friend who's a really big Islanders fan and I watched the Postseason run last year.

Ryan

Oh yeah,

Brett

That was really exciting. It was so easy to be a fan. They just won.

Ryan

Yeah, yeah. They were gritty for sure.

Brett

And then, this year it wasn't the same. So I stopped.

Ryan

Jordan Creek down here in Pennsylvania just got new baskets. Actually, they got half, uh, they had new baskets. They've only installed about like seven of them and they're replacing, you know, old tried and true DGA mock threes with, uh, the Disc Golf Park, single chain kind of Disc Catcher imitators. Disc Catcher Lights as Jaimen calls them. Oh, I'm sorry single ring. The Disc Catcher the top set and bottom set of chains meet with two different rings. These are like all the chains, I would assume there's 28. There could be 24. I'm not really sure. They all meet in a single ring and it like, kind of causes the basket to catch a little bit wonky.

Kenji

Occasionally, you get the nose down putt that may get kicked back out.

Ryan

Spits out. Yeah. And like, it looks weird because the ring sits high in the cage. So, it also doesn't have as much I guess, room to catch right above the cage. So it's kind of like, I don't know. I don't, I don't like the way they look. I mean, it's nice to have a nice bright band, which I guess for visibility purposes is good. Compared to the Mach 3's, but I guess if you had your choice, what would you have on your course Mach 3's or the, yeah, I guess. Of course. And we got the Innova guy here. So,

Brett

Disc Catcher. That gets my right too

Pat

Not for nothing. I'm not an Innova guy. go to the same thing.

Ryan

Yeah, I just, I don't know. I, it, we played, uh, a C-Tier on Sunday and, you know, half the baskets had the Mach 3's and half the baskets had the Disc Golf Park baskets. And I gotta say, I don't know, It was to be able to see them, but I felt more confident putting on the Mach 3's.

Pat

The Mach 3. Is that the one with no band?

Ryan

Yeah, it doesn't have a band.

Kenji

Right. The Mach 3, the inner chains go straight down to a bigger ring on the bottom, right?

Ryan

That's right.

Kenji

The taper grade has come inside of that.

Ryan

I think Mine Kill is Mach fives. Right? Jason?

Jasan

I think it's Mach 5's.

Jaimen

It's Mach fives with a Mach 10 basket. Like if you look at the legitimate Mach fives, they have a much shallower basket.

Pat

So, some Mach 7.5's?

Jasan

Was at Warwick were

Jaimen

I liked three's better than the fives.
