PatJaimen, what's going on with Whipple City?
JaimenNot too much. I've got the finalized layout for it and all that kind of stuff that I need to drop pretty soon. Players pack items are coming in. We got some awesome stuff. We recently got in some helicopter pad pins that we're really excited about. Those are going to be going in the players pack. And we've got some fundraising discs coming up soon. So, I believe it's going to be the cow stamp from last year. That's kind of going to be the tournament logo year to year to year. but it's going to be mini stamps of it.
BrettLove a mini stamp, good call. Can I just also say how cool it is that MPO is getting those, Trump bags, whatever you call them.
JaimenThe trainers.
BrettYeah.
JaimenVery exciting that Upper Parks was able to help us out with those. I think that's one of the coolest player pack items I've seen. It's something that I think that everybody can immediately use and everybody could even use more of.
BrettNo. Oh Yeah, and MPO gets a players back. How cool.
JaimenYep. Very excited about that.
BrettYeah, that's awesome.
JasanRight now we're less than two weeks away from Mine Kill AM side. By the time you listen to this, who knows it could be a week from tomorrow, or it could be tomorrow.
New SpeakerOr both.
JasanBut there's been a lot of movement on both wait-lists. I think the last week I've had double digit movement. So, we're down to three people on the wait list for AM side and four spots open for Pro. So, if you're interested in playing either weekends, sign up good chance to be able to get in. Lot of exciting, stuff's going to be unveiled soon. I'm just working out some final details. I have the player's guide, 95% done. I'm just waiting on a couple of things that are pretty crucial for venues and stuff. But it's gonna be a good time hope to see everybody there and, um, get your picks in.
RyanOoh.
BrettYeah, I think I've dropped out of the picks almost entirely, now. There's no going back.
RyanNo, no, it's not true because you can get a thousand points like in a week.
BrettIt's not too late?
RyanNot too late.
BrettIt Feels too late.
JasanA lot of golf left.
JaimenYeah. I've had like mini panic attacks last two Fridays thinking ah, shit I missed my picks, but. I knew that they weren't there, but like then the Masters Cup comes up. I'm like, how can that not be a pick?
RyanI know.
BrettSilver Series.
JaimenCrazy.
RyanYeah. Gannon Buhr won his first Silver Series.
JaimenOoh.
RyanFair Disc Golf. Yay.
JaimenDid you see the Anthon stuff?
BrettYeah, that was weird.
RyanAre we going to cover that?
JaimenI don't know, maybe we should save that for some Monday where nobody has to work on Tuesday.
RyanDo that.
JaimenOkay.
KenjiWhat's the Reader's Digest version? I saw it just a little inkling.
JaimenHe was put on the feature card and then one of the higher up organizations, I don't remember which one, changed that.
KenjiUh,
RyanOh, this guy's like a murderer and a white supremacist so maybe we should like, not feature him on coverage. And it's like, well, that's fair. I,
JasanYeah.
RyanI don't know, it is what it is.
BrettYeah. I think he won a lead in tournament for that. Something that was there a couple of weeks prior, which is why he was going to be featured.
JaimenOh, I just figured it's because he's the Cali kid.
BrettThat's true. Yeah.
RyanYeah.
BrettSounds a lot like Florida man, but
RyanI don't know the full story. I'm just
PatYeah.
JasanHe still sponsored by Innova?

RyanI'd be on the two.
JasanYes. It, depending on how the thing is that might not be any help.
JaimenRight. I was going to say, Jason and I are basically one person.
RyanRight Me and Kenji versus you three would actually be pretty, fair.
BrettI'm down with that.
PatI was thinking more Ryan and Brett.
RyanOh, Ryan and Brett, I like that.
PatAnd Kenji, Jason and Jaimen.
KenjiSure.
JaimenI like how it ryan's turning any situation into an ego stroke,
RyanGive me the odds, but stack the odds against me.
PatYeah. All right. So let me write that down real.
JaimenSmart people.
RyanUseless knowledge. there's a difference.
JaimenWell, we all have useless knowledge. Yours is just readily available.
PatAll right, because you are 2, you get to go first. What category would you like?

BrettI don't feel good about any of them.
RyanAre you like a slipper kind of guy? Not a big Sock guy?
BrettNo, I definitely wear them. I just don't know how much I know about them. Let's do socks then that seems like the right one. Yeah.
RyanYeah.
PatAll right. Question one. What, what City's team, the Braves stop wearing red socks in 1907. So the city's other major league team adopted the name? What city's team, the Braves stopped wearing red socks in 1907, so the cities other major league team adopted the name?

JaimenOkay.
PatJason.
JaimenThe first half that I got.
JasanYeah, I'm going to defer to.
KenjiDoing last summer. And this is Summer School. Mr. Shoop.

PatYeah, exactly.
RyanRight. I'm like Patrick Bateman, the Bates hotel,
PatK in the J-Men, what category?
RyanBy the way, I managed to watch Psycho, like for the first time, maybe 8 months ago without any spoilers. So like when he was, he like came in with like, I mean, it's like dressed. It is.
KenjiPsycho in like 30.
RyanWe printed out like the, I dunno, a hundred best movies and I've just been kind of going through them one by one. So, we saw a Psycho and I had never seen it before. It was fascinating. I didn't expect it, why I kind of expected the twist, but, it's pretty funny what had happened. Didn't age well.
PatThey remade it too.
RyanDid they?
PatVince Vaughn,
RyanNo way, really?
PatI kid you not.

JaimenSounds good.
RyanDammit.
PatYou are correct?
RyanIf you come down the hill from South Mountain in Bethlehem, there's a McDonald's in Bethlehem that has a single arch that still has like a hundred million hamburgers sold. It's crazy. It's like, we're going to
PatIt's prolly means just at that location. Now.

RyanSock Puppets?
BrettIs that an animal?
RyanCan be, it can be anything you want it to be.
PatCan you be more specific?
RyanA dog probably.
BrettOoh.
RyanIf you're making a sock puppet, you're totally like doing a bark bark bark. Right?
BrettYeah, I guess that's what I don't do that though. I don't make sock puppets. It's gotta be it, though.
RyanYou can, be honest here, Brett,
BrettI don't know, my head went to giraffe. It's not a giraffe. It was never a giraffe.
RyanCan you give us your best giraffe noise?
BrettNo.
Ryangoing to say sock puppet dog. What do you think?

KenjiCause like the color of the toe makes the mouth that looks like a monkey's mouth, right?
PatYeah. If you look at the way they, color sock, it, It kind of gives you the headstart for making the monkey, the red heel and other parts. Kenji?

What do we think?
JaimenWhat's the second. Yeah. Fast and the Furious. I don't know. The second one.
JasanThinking Fast, Furious and Screamed. But how does that get mashed up?
KenjiYeah, that's what I don't get. Fast and Furious 2, right? Is it 2?
JaimenScream.
KenjiI don't know the exact title of the second mover is that the third movie is the second movie. The Tokyo Drift. Now, I don't know. I don't know the order well enough. Fast and Furious Scream, Scream 2 Scream 2 and Fast and Furious 2. I don't know how you mash those.
JaimenAll the other questions, the movies have been presented the same way the titles are in the mashup. Does that make sense?
KenjiFast and Furious Scream 2. Pat, help us out with it. We do it. We
PatGot about 10 seconds.
JaimenFast Scream.
KenjiFurious Scream 2 Fast and Furious 2 Scream 2.
PatFinal answer.
Kenjitoo. Fast and Furious 2 Scream 2.
PatDo you have a guess RB?
BrettI think I understand that.
RyanYeah. What are you thinking?
BrettI think it Scream 2 Fast 2 Furious.
RyanThat's exactly what I was thinking,

RyanFurious
KenjiI didn't know exactly what. Cause they're not called Fast and Furious 2 there. Yeah.
Ryan2 Fast 2 Furious. love it when it finally comes all around, it's just like Fast and Furious again, like 20 years later. Just like The Batman.
PatYeah,
BrettYeah.
KenjiWe got that in concept.
RyanYeah, sure did. So did we for the record.
BrettThat's the only one that's made sense to me.
RyanHistory?
BrettYeah, History.
RyanLet's do History.
PatMay 8th was VE day. What does V-E stand for? May 8th was VE day. What does V-E stand for?
RyanThat's victory in Europe day. So the end of the war.

PatWhat man was appointed as the first head of the FBI on May 10th, 1924, a post he held until his death in 1972? What man was appointed as the first head of the FBI on May 10th, 1924, a post he held until his death in 1972?
JaimenI feel like I watched something on the FBI recently. Remember when I said available knowledge.
KenjiI don't know this.
RyanThere's a movie, but it was made after 1980 Kenji, sorry.
PatDo you guys have a final answer?
JaimenNo, I don't, I can't think of a single name.
JasanSo, if he ended in the seventies, who was, he? Hadn't been pretty old because he started in 20. So think 50 sixties, FBI that's before all our time.
JaimenWhat, year did you start? 29.
PatMay 10th, 1924. He was appointed and his death was in 1972.
JasanOh, his death was in 72.
JaimenIs that when he left the post.
PatHe held it until his death in 72. Yeah.
JaimenOkay, then yeah, none of my guesses would be good.
JasanSo he's FBI during Kennedy's.
RyanYou can still say, your guesses, Jaimen.
JaimenUm, was it Ryan Nelson?
Patgot about 10 seconds?
KenjiNo, I don't know.
Ryan98 years old.
KenjiI think they know him, but
RyanI just say that. So you'll spew out the names.
JaimenYeah.
PatAll right. RB, what do you get?
RyanI assume it's J Edgar.
BrettSay it's one of the Presidents, right?
RyanThink it's Hoover.
KenjiHoover.
PatYou gotta give this whole name.
RyanWas the movie J Edgar.
PatYeah. that's not the president Hoover that's Herbert Hoover.
BrettOkay. Yup.
JasanUm,
KenjiThat's what got me off of that, you know? Cause I'm like it's.
JaimenRight.
KenjiFamiliar, but I thought it was president, so it wouldn't have had it that whole time. It was wrong.
JaimenGangs of New York. Is that it?
KenjiI'm like, I know it's not a president.
RyanJ Edgar.
JaimenOh, No, I watched the one on Dillinger.
KenjiI never saw that
PatThe Most Wanted?
JaimenI watched Most Wanted and that's where it mentioned it.
RyanYeah, Gangs of New York about the five points in New York. like a bunch of gangs.
PatHm, RB. You guys are down one point and you get to the next question.
RyanSweet, your choice, Brett.
BrettI was going to say. What's feeling good to you? Let's do socks. I was thinking socks. too. It's fun.
PatOriginally green and white, what socks worn by the Campbell clan were named for a county in West Scotland? Originally green and white, what socks worn by the Campbell clan were named for a county in West Scotland?
BrettCan you say that again?
RyanRugby.
PatOriginally green and white, socks, worn by the Campbell clan, were named for a a county west Scotland?
BrettYou're thinking Rugby,
RyanBrooke Claudie.
BrettYou know, the answer, sorry.

PatOriginally green and white, what socks worn by the Campbell clan were named for a county in west Scotland?
RyanWhat socks, kind of socks? Argyle must be Argyle.
BrettOh, that sounds like a county.
RyanYep. It sounds Scottish too. Let's do it.
BrettI love that. Well,
PatIt's all tied up, but, the and the Jaimen they're, one behind, as far as question totals. K and J men, what category? I think we're going to go around one more time after this.
JaimenOkay, which one do we feel the most confident in? We've struck out on the last three of them.
KenjiYeah, We knew the movie one, huh?
JasanI feel like Kenji is a pretty good asset for the movie.
JaimenYeah.
KenjiLet's go with the movie one.
PatMovie's Okay. The president's plane is hijacked by terrorists and taken to a mental institution run by Nurse Ratched. The president's plane is hijacked by terrorists and taken to a mental institution run by nurse Ratched. What do you got?
KenjiSo, it's Air Force One flight over the Cuckoo's nest. Is a flight. No, that's not the right word. It's it's
JaimenFlew.
KenjiOne flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. So, Air Force One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest.
PatJaimen and Jason agree?
JaimenWell now I'm nervous. Yeah.
KenjiYeah.
PatYou are correct.
JasanGood job.
PatFinal question for each. The K-Men are up by one.
RyanOh, that damn Red Sox question that put us in the hole here, Brett. I'm sorry.
PatRB, what category?
KenjiHow How do you miss The one sports question?
RyanI know. Well, I only know hockey.
KenjiMore than Me, Jason Jaimen combined.
RyanYour choice, Brett?
BrettNo, it'd be wrong for me to not leave it up to you.
RyanI'll go. See, the last couple of movies has been pretty easy and Kenji loves the movies. So let's, do movies and try to steal it out from under him.
BrettOkay.
PatYou want the movie category?
RyanYeah.
BrettThat's fun.
PatAll right. A film that explores the dark and miserable town Basin City and tells a story of three different people all caught up in violent corruption. One of them is an unhappy Manhattan yuppie on the verge of turning 40, who is roped into joining his two friends on a cattle drive in the Southwest. RyanTalking about noir Sin City Slickers, right?
BrettWow. I knew Sin City, I didn't know the other part, so. Sure.
PatAll right. It's all tied up. One question to go. What do you got K and the J-Men?
KenjiDo we stick with the movies? I knew that one.
RyanI hope you're out of movie questions.
PatI have one more.
JasanYeah, let's do the movies. I knew the last one too, so I'm feeling pretty good.
PatI actually have more than one. I just
RyanThis children's movie about dogs.
PatCarl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator. Carl Childer's a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. KenjiKid kill their parents.
PatCarl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator.
KenjiOh, okay. So, Carl Childers is, um, Billy Bob Thornton movie. What in the movie kind of talks like this with ALS name.
BrettMaybe, if you keep doing the voice, it'll come back to you.
JasanUh,
JaimenWhat else happens in this movie?
KenjiHe fixes lawnmowers.
Jaimenoh, geez. That one. I forgot about the lawnmower fixing.
KenjiHe's got the sickle.
JasanWhat, uh, era is this?
KenjiThis is like, I don't know, late nineties, early 2000. What's the second half of it, Pat?
PatAfter his release, he must pursue and try to terminate 4 replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to earth to find their creator.
KenjiI need to know them.
PatTo give you about 15 seconds.
KenjiI don't know. I can't come up. I need the first half to get to the second half. I don't, I'm not ringing a bell on any Replicants. Okay.
PatJason, Jaimen and he guesses
JaimenNo.
PatRight.
KenjiThey help you out, Ryan?. Do you know who we're talking about?
RyanYeah. I mean, the only reason I figured it out was because of the second and then I kind of inferred what the one was and that Billy Bob thing helped. actually, can you say it one more time? So I wanna make sure it's not the other movie
PatCarl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since he murdered his mother and her lover as a child. After his release, he, he must be, he must pursue and try to terminate for replicants, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. What was that?
RyanOh, so I just don't know if it's the new Blade Runner or the last or the old Blade Runner. I'm assuming it's Sling Blade Runner?
KenjiGood job.
PatYou guys both agree.
RyanYeah, I don't, I mean, for my, I don't think it's going to be the Ryan Gosling one. It's probably the original.
PatYou are correct. Sling Blade Runner.
KenjiThat's what the name of that damn movie was.
RyanHonestly, I got blade runner immediately. And then when you started doing the voice and stuff, this is.
PatI only got a couple left. Here's one just for the group. Two icons face off in the supernatural movie, one, a disfigured serial killer who attacks his victims in their dreams. The other career force for Constance Marine Captain, Foreign Service Officer and a specialist in Far Eastern affairs.
RyanNightmare on Elm street, wall street. say it again.
PatTwo icons face off in this supernatural movie, one, a disfigured serial killer who had taxes, victims, and their dreams, the other, a Career Force Reconnaissance Marine Captain, Foreign Service Officer, and a specialist in Far Eastern affairs.
RyanYeah Freddy.
KenjiOn and I was straight.
RyanProbably Freddy versus Jason something.
KenjiFriday verse Jason.
RyanJason Bourne there yeah.
PatFreddie vs. Jason Bourne. Yep. A newly paroled ex-con and former Us Ranger finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the passenger seize control. Surely this man with a fear of flying can land safely after the pilots become sick. Anybody?
KenjiConnie air something airplane.
PatParoled ex-con and former us Ranger finds himself trapped in a prisoner transport plane when the...
KenjiCon Airplane?
PatSurely. Yep.
RyanYup.
PatWanted to add plane to the end of that movie because it's just there, there you go. Congratulations to R and B with, as a solid comeback fellas.
KenjiUm,
RyanOff pretty, pretty poorly.
BrettThese are so hard. This is impossible.
PatI'm sorry.
JaimenYeah. I need to go watch some more movies.
BrettYeah. There's times I'm listening, I'm like how don't they know that one? It's like, I actually know it. I don't think I knew anything tonight. is impossible. Credit to you guys. Geez. not a
PatUh, no, no, no. I get ya.
BrettImpressive. Just what I'm getting at. You guys.
RyanOr just have too much time on our hands one or the other.
PatWell, thanks for coming on, Brett.
BrettYeah, thanks for having me. This was really cool. I mean, this podcast is amazing. so you. it really is.
KenjiGlad you enjoy it.
BrettThe product's really good listen every week, so it's cool to be on.
KenjiDave Hudson won, uh, spring fling was that right? And this was where this Channel of the Pines. What was the event yesterday? Beyond the Pines, Beyond the Pines. So, I was watching the lead card, and the second place player laid up on 17th instead of running it. I was really surprised. He was a stroke behind. I have no idea why he laid up there. I'm like, I would've figured he had to run it. He wasn't that far.
BrettAnd Dave made it right.
KenjiI mean, it was a death putt. it was, um, Brad somebody.
BrettBrad Schott. But Dave Hudson made the birdie there, right?
KenjiI would think if you to try and win, you have to run that putt. And then he laid it up. I was really surprised. I was talking with Jason Versace. I was like, why didn't he lay that up? Didn't quite understand the mindset.
BrettDid he go before or after Dave Hudson on?
KenjiHe went before. Dave was closer and he was like probably 50 feet out, short and he didn't run the downhill putt. He laid it up. I think he had a stroke on third place. I'm like, I don't know why.
JaimenYeah. But if you run that putt and you air ball, it you're of a sudden you're going to be two strokes behind.
KenjiI know, but I mean, if you're playing a win, I think you're forced to do that.
JaimenYeah. But if you're playing to win is a big.
KenjiRight. Yeah. Well, when you're one stroke behind with one hole ago.
PatWell, who was behind him?
KenjiI think Corey Cook.
PatI mean, where they close, was third place close to 2nd?
KenjiIt was a stroke. Yeah. I mean,
PatYeah. I mean, so you're also trying to maintain yours. Maybe you're hoping the other guy, you know.
JaimenRight. I wouldn't infer that he was trying to win. And also kudos to him for knowing his strengths and playing his own game.
PatHmm.
BrettIt's one of those things where if.
KenjiIt was a mistake.
Brettif it works, you look like a genius.
Kenjihe got second, so I guess it worked, but I would've ran it. It wasn't that far. I mean, yes, it was a death putt, but yeah. We all know Central Park Hole 17. He came up, you know, probably 10 feet outside the circle, looking down the hill at the basket.
JaimenYeah.
Jasan10 feet outside the circle.
BrettThat's a scary.
JasanThat's a really scary.
JaimenYeah, I would have done the exact same thing he does.
KenjiTaking second and you've accepted the last name. That's what I thought he was doing.
JaimenYeah. Or just live to play another hole. If he's one stroke behind, I don't know.
PatWith one hole to go.
JaimenA lot of stuff can happen on one hole.
KenjiThen he's going to be two strokes because he's laying up for his par the guy who's one stroke ahead of him.
JaimenYeah, is closer. He's still probably got a death putt too.
KenjiYeah, Corey went a little past, he had to up so he.
JaimenIt's very easy to say like, oh, he should have done this, but like,
KenjiI didn't say anything besides just whispers to Jason and I were watching.
BrettNice about it though is it was an active golfing decision, you know, it's so easy just to land on the aggressive button.
KenjiRight, right.
JaimenYeah, yeah.
PatSo, one question I have is why doesn't the NFL do a full quarter like the NHL does? That makes total sense in the playoffs for overtime? Do one of those. And then if you want to the second one, if you want to have some hokey rules about it, but they should really just play it out. Play another quarter. I don't know.
BrettOh my
RyanI agree. I agree completely. Oh man, there's nothing better than golden goal, baby Game Seven overtime. That's where it's at injected right into my veins.
KenjiDid it turn out good for you? I was listening to the show last week.
RyanOh, yeah.
PatNot last week, but.
RyanThe most depressing, Yeah, they went 3-0 to close out the series. And every game they trailed from the beginning of the game too. So, you could imagine that I'm still like high on adrenaline from Sunday night. Yeah, thank goodness we weren't recording Sunday night. I might've had like a, manic episode. It was so exciting.
PatWhen's the next series start?
RyanWednesday, Wednesday they play Carolina.
PatThat's actually good. They need the rest.
RyanFor sure. Yes. I need the rest, Pat. Yeah, it should be interesting. I mean, there was five Game Seven's this weekend, which is just crazy. And two of them went overtime, including the Rangers in the Penguins. This is the content that Brett comes for Hockey Right? Hockey talk.
BrettUm, I'm an Islanders fan. So
RyanWell, I mean, I don't even know what you guys are up to firing one of the best Head Coaches in the game.
BrettYeah, I'm not really, they're the games I watch. I got a friend who's a really big Islanders fan and I watched the Postseason run last year.
RyanOh yeah,
BrettThat was really exciting. It was so easy to be a fan. They just won.
RyanYeah, yeah. They were gritty for sure.
BrettAnd then, this year it wasn't the same. So I stopped.
RyanJordan Creek down here in Pennsylvania just got new baskets. Actually, they got half, uh, they had new baskets. They've only installed about like seven of them and they're replacing, you know, old tried and true DGA mock threes with, uh, the Disc Golf Park, single chain kind of Disc Catcher imitators. Disc Catcher Lights as Jaimen calls them. Oh, I'm sorry single ring. The Disc Catcher the top set and bottom set of chains meet with two different rings. These are like all the chains, I would assume there's 28. There could be 24. I'm not really sure. They all meet in a single ring and it like, kind of causes the basket to catch a little bit wonky.
KenjiOccasionally, you get the nose down putt that may get kicked back out.
RyanSpits out. Yeah. And like, it looks weird because the ring sits high in the cage. So, it also doesn't have as much I guess, room to catch right above the cage. So it's kind of like, I don't know. I don't, I don't like the way they look. I mean, it's nice to have a nice bright band, which I guess for visibility purposes is good. Compared to the Mach 3's, but I guess if you had your choice, what would you have on your course Mach 3's or the, yeah, I guess. Of course. And we got the Innova guy here. So,
BrettDisc Catcher. That gets my right too
PatNot for nothing. I'm not an Innova guy. go to the same thing.
RyanYeah, I just, I don't know. I, it, we played, uh, a C-Tier on Sunday and, you know, half the baskets had the Mach 3's and half the baskets had the Disc Golf Park baskets. And I gotta say, I don't know, It was to be able to see them, but I felt more confident putting on the Mach 3's.
PatThe Mach 3. Is that the one with no band?
RyanYeah, it doesn't have a band.
KenjiRight. The Mach 3, the inner chains go straight down to a bigger ring on the bottom, right?
RyanThat's right.
KenjiThe taper grade has come inside of that.
RyanI think Mine Kill is Mach fives. Right? Jason?
JasanI think it's Mach 5's.
JaimenIt's Mach fives with a Mach 10 basket. Like if you look at the legitimate Mach fives, they have a much shallower basket.
PatSo, some Mach 7.5's?
JasanWas at Warwick were
JaimenI liked three's better than the fives.
